HowdyBirdy.com is my personal photography page, where I share my urban birding and nature experiences with everyone.

Bird photography is my biggest passion, and one of the most loved genres of nature photography for a simple reason: birds pull us into the living world fast. Birding helps me reconnect with nature and strengthens that close link between people and the environment around us. With more than ten thousand species across countless habitats on all seven continents, birds are some of nature’s best representatives. Their voices, plumage patterns, colors, and antics invite us to learn not only about them, but also about the ecosystems they call home.

I’m a longtime admirer of the Olympus Micro Four Thirds camera system, and I’ve been photographing birds for years with Olympus OM and OM D series bodies paired with M.Zuiko PRO lenses. However, my love for birds starts before the shutter click: with binoculars in hand, I slow down, listen, and watch. Birding through binoculars turns every walk into a discovery, revealing tiny movements, hidden behaviors, and the small stories unfolding in the trees and wetlands around us.
